Welcoming Colin Andersen: PlaySpace’s New Senior Advisor, Public Sector

PlaySpace is thrilled to announce the addition of Colin Andersen as our Senior Advisor, Public Sector. With an illustrious career in public service and the health care sector, Colin's expertise will help us forge innovative partnerships within the public and private health care arenas.

A Legacy of Leadership and Innovation

Colin's journey began with the Ontario Public Service, where he held roles such as Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary of Treasury Board. His extensive experience includes positions in the health and energy sectors, notably as Executive VP, Public Sector for MindBeacon/CloudMD. There, he led the development of a digital platform that supported 60,000 Ontario patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, integrating therapist-assisted online cognitive behavioral therapy into the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy program.

Vision for the Future at PlaySpace

Colin's vision aligns perfectly with PlaySpace’s mission to make children's mental health care accessible, affordable, and equitable. He expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team:

"I am thrilled to be joining PlaySpace and helping to address the huge unmet needs for accessible, affordable, and equitable children’s mental health care. As a lifelong mental health caregiver, I have seen the impact on families and our health system of lacking access to quality supports. PlaySpace, with its unique platform and tools, benefits clients, providers, and systems alike, and I look forward to helping expand opportunities in Canada and globally."

Looking Ahead

Colin's strategic advice has shaped government relations, health and electricity system transformation, and diversity issues. With a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, his broad experience positions him uniquely to drive PlaySpace’s initiatives forward.

We are excited about the innovative solutions and partnerships Colin will develop. Welcome Colin!
